Introduction to Quality Assurance (QA)

Overview: Software quality is often the defining line between the success and failure of any digital product. Even the best ideas can collapse if they do not pass through a rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) process. This workshop takes attendees on an engaging journey into the world of software testing—where precision, analysis, and innovation meet to build reliable products. The session is led by Eng. Amani Sabra, an expert in Manual & Automation Testing with practical experience in ERP and POS systems, as well as RPA (Robotic Process Automation).

Objectives:

• Understand the core definition of Quality Assurance and why it is a critical phase in the software development lifecycle.

• Explore the balance and differences between Manual and Automation testing.

• Define the fundamental tasks and roles of a QA Engineer within a tech team.

• Learn how to write effective test cases, identify bugs, and utilize prominent QA tools and testing environments.

• Apply the theoretical concepts learned through a guided hands-on activity.
